The most versatile of all Patagonia merino baselayers, the Womens Patagonia merino wool 2 bottoms are made from 73% merino wool wrapped around a 27% all-recycled polyester core for a luxurious hand. Inherently soft and comfortable, merino naturally resists odor, moves moisture away from the skin, regulates body temperature, and stretches. A brushed-elastic waistband and offset inseams stay skin-friendly throughout a full day of active use. Patagonia slow-wash their merino for next-to-skin softness. Machine-wash cold; lay flat to dry. At the end of their useful life, recycle through the Patagonia Common Threads Recycling Program.

Material
Chlorine-Free Wool
Raw, untreated wool has scales that make it itchy and coarse and cause it to shrink, so most wool fabrics are treated with chlorine to reduce the scales. Patagonia 100% merino wool is so fine it can be slow-washed without chlorine for softness and minimal shrinkage.
