Ready-made for climbing Bugaboo granite in the fall, the Patagonia Merino Wool 2 Zip Neck is a versatile merino layer for an active lifestyle in warm to cool weather. This lightweight zip-neck is made from 73% merino wool wrapped around a 27% all-recycled polyester core for a luxurious hand. Inherently soft and comfortable, merino naturally resists odor, moves moisture away from the skin, regulates body temperature, and stretches. The high doubled collar and a zipper covered at both ends are skin-friendly. Raglan sleeves and offset side seams won't chafe beneath pack straps. All seams are overlocked for a clean aesthetic. Patagonia slow-wash their merino for next-to-skin softness. Machine-wash cold; lay flat to dry. Recyclable through the Patagonia Common Threads Recycling Program.

Material
Chlorine-Free Wool
Raw, untreated wool has scales that make it itchy and coarse and cause it to shrink, so most wool fabrics are treated with chlorine to reduce the scales. Our 100% merino wool is so fine it can be slow-washed without chlorine for softness and minimal shrinkage.

We recycle used soda bottles, unusable second quality fabrics and worn out garments into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.
