To build it, Danner bootmakers sought out leathers similar to those used on the original classic hiking boot, the Danner Light II. This classic-inspired boot features stitchdown construction and a lightweight Vibram Gumlite outsole for lighter weight comfort. The Danner Light Black Glace is still built by hand, in our Portland, Oregon, factory with rich Horween leather and Cordura nylon panels, but now with a lighter and softer feeling underfoot.
